Music and the Brain

This is a fun little animated video showing us just how much of a workout it is for our brains when we play an instrument!

Research is suggesting that people who play music develop better executive function, fine motor and problem solving skills compared to their non-music playing peers. This is due to increased neural connections between the right and left sides of the brain via the Corpus Collosum.

What great motivation to pick up that instrument!

As for those who already have, practice pays off. So keep working on those scales!

So, what do you think ?
